Metropolitan Transportation Elements
The Fayetteville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization conducts transportation planning in cooperation with local, state, and federal governments. These plans include the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), the long-range plan for transportation improvements in the FAMPO region. The MTP has a 30-year planning horizon and is a multi-modal plan made up of multiple elements. This section section includes aviation, highways, bicycles and pedestrians, rail, freight, congestion management, public transit, environmental justice, Title VI, safety and security, and public Involvement.
