Transportation Planning:
Developing FY 2009-2015 Draft Transportation Improvement Program. Updating Population and Economic Study for the Fayetteville Urbanized Area to reflect base year estimates for 2006, with a horizon year of 2035. Revising Environmental Justice and Consultation Documents. Preparing Safe Routes to School federal grant application materials.
Air Quality:
	Check out our curriculum in Kidsville designed to educate children grades K-5 about air quality! The Kidsville curriculum was designed by the Fayetteville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources Division of Air Quality Fayetteville Regional Office Partnership.
	The Driving for Clean Air program is an addition to the Cumberland County Driver’s Education Curriculum taught at local high schools. Two hours of the driver’s education program has been set aside to teach about air quality. The curriculum includes having the students watch an “Easy Breathers” video and having the students read through and complete the activities in the “Cleaner Cars Student Manual” that was developed by and reproduced with the permission of the National Safety Council. In addition, fact sheets about ethanol, biodiesel, electric vehicles, and an alternative fuel comparison are given along with general air quality information.
